Our Nursery Allotments & Mud Kitchens

At Small World Nursery, we believe little hands can do big things – especially when it comes to growing and creating! Our children love spending time in two special garden spaces: a large allotment in the Pre-School Garden and a smaller, cosy patch in the 2-3’s garden.

These green corners at Small World are full of life and learning. From planting seeds and watering vegetables to spotting bugs and harvesting herbs, our allotments give children the chance to connect with nature, explore the seasons, and enjoy the magic of growing their own food.

Alongside the allotments, both gardens also feature a much-loved mud kitchen, where creativity really gets messy! Whether it’s baking muddy pies, making leafy potions, or cooking up imaginary feasts, our mud kitchens are the perfect place for sensory play, teamwork, and lots of fun.

Together, these special spaces at Small World Nursery inspire curiosity, responsibility, and a deep appreciation for the natural world – all while having plenty of muddy, hands-on adventures!
